Aley is excited to be offering several mini-camp opportunities throughout the entire summer! 

Each camp will have a specialized focus that's interactive, fun, and educational. 

Days, times, and ages vary - we have camps for kids and adults! 

Grades are based on students grade for the 2026-2027 school year.

If a Mini-Camp reaches maximum enrollment, you will be notified and added to a waitlist.

    All kids Kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome to join us for a Surprise Party and learn about God's gift of Unexpected Grace! Come see what totally unexpected things can happen at a party when Jesus shows up! We will practice Jesus' message from John 13:24 - "Love one another just as I have loved you."


    There will be songs, games, crafts, and the opportunity to participate in mission projects.

    A vibrant 3-day music camp celebrating the rich diversity of Australian culture and music. Through hands-on drumming and singing, campers will explore traditional rhythms, instruments, and stories from across the continent.


    Each day will highlight a different part of Australia, offering a dynamic and immersive experience in its unique musical traditions.

    Puppets - Ever heard of “talk to the hand”? Well how about “talk with the hand”? Puppets will be our summer fun theme and for our 3 days together we will learn how to grow in character, make puppets & props and get to work with fun professional puppets. (This is not a ventriloquism camp.)

    The Beavercreek Wetlands are an important local natural resource that is available to everyone. Join Beavercreek Wetlands Association volunteers to learn about what the Beavercreek Wetlands has to offer us, and what we can offer to the wetlands.


    One evening, a volunteer will share important highlights with us. This presentation will be followed by a BCWA volunteer-led hike through one of the BCWA parks where we can experience the beauty of this special resource.


    Participants will need to provide their own transportation to the hike location. All minor children must be accompanied by an adult.

    Preschool-aged kids are invited to come have some summer fun together. Explore topics like “Planting a Garden,” “Your Senses,” and “Science Meets Art.” We will read stories, sing songs, do some crafts, and hear from some special guests. Parents are encouraged to stay for the program.

We’ll be hands-on learning about topics including prepping easy meals, financial responsibility, and other important skills.     Dungeons and Dragons is a creative, collaborative, storytelling game. Participants will step into a world of storytelling, learn the basics of D&D and embark on their first dungeon adventure together. This beginner-friendly game will introduce us to the process of creating a setting and characters and let everybody experience a short campaign.

    Balloon Twisting - What’s smarter than a talking monkey? A spelling bee… It’s a good thing that we’re not going to learn bad jokes, but you can learn to twist a monkey and bee using balloons. But let's start with the twisting basics and simple one-balloon animals. Everyone goes home with their own pump and some balloons to practice twisting at home!

    Come have some fun in the kitchen! This is a great opportunity for kids/youth to join with an adult and have fun learning three different skills in the kitchen:


    *Cookie Decorating: Learn to roll, cut, and decorate yummy sugar cookies! You’ll go home with some delicious treats and tools to make more. 


    *Candy Making: Learn to make sweet treats like caramels, buckeyes, and candy sushi. Make some for a snack and some to take home.


    *Desserts over the Campfire: It’s not just s’mores. Learn to make some fun treats using a campfire.

    There are lots of different, creative ways to express yourself. Learn from professionals who can coach you in creative writing, artistic journaling, and photography. You will be able to start a journal that you can add to later. You will go home with lots of the supplies you need to continue your creative pursuits.

    Exercise doesn’t have to be boring! Come learn about Zumba and Yoga as fun ways to move your body. We will also learn about how nutrition is important to our health when we exercise.


    Participants will be exposed to fitness programs that they can continue after the mini-camp is over.

    The Spark Place at Xenia Community Library is full of tools to learn new skills and try high-tech equipment you may not normally be able to access. Engraving, 3-D printing, soldering, green screen room, large-scale printers, quilting machines, hot press, and more!


    Come check out the space, learn some cool STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) skills and create something of your very own to take home!


    Note - each participant must have an additional liability form from the library signed by a parent/guardian. We will email this form after we receive your registration.

    Parents/guardians are responsible for getting participants to/from the Xenia Library. Adults are welcome and encouraged to relax at the library during the mini-camp time.

    No sewing experience is needed to attend this 3 evening mini camp for teens and adults! Come learn to make a fabric tote bag and Christmas ornament that only requires that you can fold and manipulate fabric. All supplies will be provided and you will leave with 2 (or maybe more) beautiful handcrafted items.
