Join the Aley Tech Team!

Our tech team is devoted to enhancing the Sunday morning worship experience by controlling all the elements of technology within the sanctuary. Each tech team member is trained on whichever station they choose to specialize in; whether it be the sound board, the lights & graphics station, or the cameras & livestream station.

No matter what issues arise on Sunday mornings, the tech team is ready to be the first in line to attempt to solve it!

How Can I Help?

Sound Board

Our sound board operator provides support for all things sound on Sunday mornings: setting up mics, mixing the praise band, muting/unmuting pastors, and making sure everything important can be heard. If you have a great ear, this may be the station for you!

Lights/Graphics Station

This station is where volunteers control the lights for segments of the service, making sure every area of the stage is seen as needed, and launch graphics for the two large screens at the front of the sanctuary. This role is crucial for giving information to the congregation, such as lyrics to sing along to, or verses to read. If you love helping to keep people organized, this is where you should be!

Cameras/streaming station

Our livestream helps us to reach a wider world outside of the walls of Aley! Our camera operator is responsible for controlling the 3 wall-mounted cameras and monitoring the livestream. This includes fine-tuning the livestream audio from our tablet mixer. If you love computers and cameras, we've got a space just for you!

Email media@aleyumc.org to schedule a training session for your preferred tech booth station! One hour-long training session can make anyone an expert in running tech on Sunday mornings, so what are you waiting for?
