Request Manipulatives

Station 1 - Empty and Filled

Prayer is always a great place to start. So, before you start moving through the stations of the cross, take a few minutes emptying yourself and praying for God to fill you.

Pray: Lord, You know my heart-my thoughts, my words, and the was I have chosen my own path instead of Yours. I confess I am a sinner. I believe You died to forgive my sins. I repent. Please forgive me, cleanse me, and turn my heart to You. As you forgive me, I choose to forgive others, and I surrender fully to Your lordship. I pray, Amen.

Station 2 - Jesus is Condemned to Death

Jesus stands in silence, accepting a death sentence for sins he did not commit, teaching us to trust in God’s plan even when treated unjustly.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you accepted unjust condemnation for me. Grant me the grace to accept my own trials with patience and humility. Amen.

Station 3 - Jesus Carries His Cross

Jesus embraces the wood of the cross, turning an instrument of torture into a symbol of redemption and showing us how to bear our own daily burdens.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you carried the heavy burden of the cross. Help me to bear my daily burdens and follow you without complaint. Amen.

Station 4 - Jesus Falls

Weakened and broken, Jesus falls beneath the weight, demonstrating his humanity and solidarity with us in our moments of weakness.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you stumbled under the weight of the cross. Give me strength to rise again when I fall into sin and weakness. Amen.

Station 5 - Jesus Meets His Mother

A silent, heart-wrenching exchange between mother and son, highlighting the deep, shared sorrow of love and loss.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you shared a sorrowful gaze with Mary. Help me to find strength in your love during my own times of grief and misunderstanding. Amen.

Station 6 - Simon Helps Jesus

Simon is forced to help, but his action reminds us that we are called to bear one another's burdens and assist Christ in the vulnerable.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you allowed Simon to help you. Open my heart to be a helping hand to others and to see you in the suffering. Amen.

Station 7 - Veronica Wipes Jesus's Face

Veronica’s courageous act of compassion shows that small, brave acts of kindness can bring comfort in the midst of great suffering.

Pray: Lord Jesus, Veronica offered comfort to your bruised face. Help me to show compassion to the broken, the lonely, and the marginalized. Amen.

Station 8 - Jesus Falls the Second Time

Despite his exhaustion, Jesus rises again, teaching us that falling is not failure, but an opportunity to rely on divine strength.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you fell again, yet you continued on. When I am exhausted by life, give me the grace to keep moving forward in faith. Amen.

Station 9 - Jesus Meets the Women

Jesus turns his suffering outward, offering comfort and warning to others, showing that compassion is possible even in extreme pain.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you comforted the women even in your pain. Help me to truly repent of my sins and to live in a way that pleases you. Amen.

Station 10 - Jesus Falls the Third Time

At his lowest point, Jesus shows ultimate perseverance, proving that his love for us outweighs his physical agony.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you fell once more, showing your human exhaustion. When I feel I cannot go on, strengthen my resolve to persevere. Amen.

Station 11 - Jesus is Stripped

Stripped of dignity and possessions, Jesus teaches us detachment and invites us to find our worth in God, not in worldly things.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you were stripped of everything. Help me to detach from selfish desires and vanity, and to find my true worth in you. Amen.

Station 12 - Jesus is Crucified

The culmination of suffering, where Jesus allows himself to be immobilized, demonstrating that love is sometimes holding on when everything tells you to let go.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you were nailed to the cross for love of me. May I nail my selfishness to the cross and live for others. Amen.

Station 13 - Jesus Dies

The ultimate sacrifice; Jesus breathes his last, conquering death through death, opening the gates of heaven for humanity.

Pray: My dying Jesus, I adore You. Into Your hands, I commend my spirit. Thank You for giving Your life for my salvation. Amen.

Station 14 - Jesus is Taken Down & Buried

Jesus is placed in the loving arms of his mother, a moment of profound, quiet sorrow and the finality of his earthly suffering. As the stone is rolled into place, we wait in hope, knowing that the tomb is not a final ending but a passage to resurrection.

Pray: Oh buried Jesus, I kiss the stone that closes You in. By Your resurrection, make me rise glorious with You on the last day. Amen.
